Get help from the UTM Library for your online teaching, learning and research
While U of T library buildings are closed, we continue to provide access to many online resources and digital materials to support your instruction, learning and research.
Resource / service | Description | |
---|---|---|
Reference Guides | Explore these short, printable guides—or watch our videos on YouTube—to learn about finding articles, checking for peer review, citation rules, and more. |
Reference Help | Having trouble with your research? We offer support in many different ways:
Remote software access (Citrix/Xenweb) | Instructors and students can use a virtual environment (Citrix/Xenweb) to access software from the cloud for course-based assignments. Please discuss your Citrix needs with I&ITS before your course begins by submitting a ticket to I&ITS, and explore their documentation when you are ready to get started. |
Research Data Management | We will help you manage and protect your research data—and meet funder and journal data requirements—through U of T’s Dataverse repository or other data repositories. Learn more about data ownership, storage, metadata, and more, or contact Yayo Umetsubo, Scholarly Communications and Liaison Librarian, to schedule a consultation. |
Starting Points | Not sure where to start your research? Our expert librarians create guides with recommendations on subject-specific databases, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, citation tools, and much more. |
Syllabus Service | We can enhance your syllabus and Quercus course shell with stable links to digital Library resources like online articles and streaming video, allowing easy, one-click access to course materials for your students. Please reach out to your liaison librarian early during syllabus development to ensure that your syllabus is ready for your students before your course begins. |
Teach Anywhere Quercus Course | Connect with other instructors to work together, share information, and meet online. If you are teaching this term, the Teach Anywhere course should already appear on your Quercus dashboard. Fill out the Teach Anywhere Quercus request form if you need access. |
Teach Anywhere Webpage | Browse advice and instructions from the Library Instructional Technology Support team for teaching online, including sharing content, communicating with students, using discussion boards, and creating assignments. |
Tutorials on YouTube | Our YouTube channel has videos on navigating the Library, finding sources, learning software, and more. Watch Research Help from Home or Anywhere now, or visit the U of T Libraries YouTube channel for even more library videos! |
Wellness Supports | Need to take a break from your studies? Listen to a podcast, exercise, learn a new skill, and more by exploring our de-stress resources. |
