Currently the University supports many different Learning Management Systems (LMSs). With license agreement renewals taking place in 2005 - 2006, and in an effort to streamline and better integrate the university-wide administrative and data sharing functionality, one or more LMSs will be selected for the University of Toronto. The decision will be based on an extensive university-wide consultation (http://content.library.utoronto.ca/rcat/lms/consultationprocess). Work is underway to develop a student web portal. Initial steps in the development of the new portal include gathering student feedback regarding needs, and within 9 days, the project team received responses from 4,500 students.
